This prestigious international magazine recognises market-leading companies who stand above their competition and provide high-quality luxury products, services, and treatments which an elite clientele appreciate and expect.

Closer to home but just as special

We received an honourable mention from the Vancouver magazine for our bare blue tansy and hyaluronic acid serum! This serum, which was launched earlier this year, packs a punch, incorporating 2 weights of Ecocert approved hyaluronic acid combined with oils packed with vitamins and fatty acids to give you a treatment to plump, refresh and invigorate winter worn tired skin. Soon to be available in the UK!

And earlier this year we had 4 of our products commended in the beauty shortlist awards!

These awards are an annual celebration of the ethical natural & organic beauty, grooming, natural health and green home brands that merit recognition. Changes…

Changes…

As many of you are aware, we are moving from our amazing studio in North Vancouver to another very similar space close by. We will be aiming to open approximately the first week of February and are excited to welcome our regular spa clients to the new studio, while our skincare customers will be able to pick up orders the same way. Apologies as there may be a few days at the end of January that our regular services are disrupted while we make these changes. Thanks to Kirsten (pictured here with Sarah) for allowing us to use this serene space and to assist Flora’s team in creating a welcoming environment. With spectacular views across the Indian arm we’re sure you’ll all enjoy the change!

Bare romance body wash

Incase you missed it, we launched our first body wash this December! Not anything that exciting? Except when we tell you that we only use an Ecocert approved natural surfactant (bubbles), because any chemical surfactant will dry out the skin and upset the natural pH, not to the mention the effect it has when it goes down our drains out to our oceans! Combined with our winning bare romance essential oil combinations of rose and geranium, laced with warm spicy notes of sandalwood, vanilla and patchouli and a hint of citrus. And we’ve added goats milk and shea butter to leave the skin soft and nourished.

Life in the United Kingdom…

It’s been an exciting year including partnerships with new spas in the UK, visits to the first Clean Beauty trade show in London and a jubilee celebration! Flora’s presence continues to grow and we are so thrilled to work towards a safer, cleaner industry alongside other like minded professionals .

What Can You Expect From Us This Year?

Things maybe changing but we know they are for the better! At Flora’s we will continue to provide excellent skin care products and treatments that we source ethically and mainly from within Canada. We care about our planet and you can rest assured that ALL of our ingredients are clean, which means NATURAL not just green washing, sorry but it has to be said! So many brands out there get by on saying this and when you delve into the ingredients they are clearly NOT! Because of this we may take a bit longer to get our new products out to you, like our recently launched bare romance body wash, but it’s crucial to ensure that every ingredient, like our Ecocert approved natural surfactant, is checked for sustainability and performance before we even consider putting it on our shelves. We have many requests for certain ingredients, for example mica, in some of our products. But after considerable research we discovered that mica, although in some forms considered natural, is mined by very young children in countries like India and as we cannot be guaranteed how it is sourced, we simply stay away from ingredients like this. To keep this planet safe we need to ask ourselves do we really need this? Rest assured when a product reaches you from us we have done all of this research for you! #Notjustaprettyface xx
